Hellman & Friedman LLC Welcomes Deepak Advani as Managing Director; Promotes Zita Saurel and Stuart Banks to Managing Director

Hellman & Friedman LLC, a leading private equity investment firm, today announced that Deepak Advani will be joining the firm as a Managing Director.  The firm also announced the promotions of Zita Saurel and Stuart Banks to Managing Director.

Mr. Advani joins Hellman & Friedman’s San Francisco team with nearly 20­years’ experience in the software and technology sector with IBM.  He most recently ran one of IBM’s strategic initiatives as the General Manager of IBM Commerce.  Prior to that, he was the General Manager of IBM’s multi­billion dollar Cloud and Smarter Infrastructure division and also led IBM’s predictive analytics business.  Mr. Advani also served as the Global Chief Marketing Officer and SVP of eCommerce for Lenovo.

Ms. Saurel joined the firm in 2005 in the London office.  She has been actively involved in a number of its European investments and also has responsibility for the firm’s capital markets activities in Europe.

Mr. Banks joined Hellman & Friedman in 2007 in the London office and serves as General Counsel for the firm in Europe.  He helps lead negotiations on new investments and oversees firm and portfolio company matters in Europe.

In addition, Hellman & Friedman announced the promotions of Stephen Ensley, Johannes Korp, Derek Zanutto, and Suzanne Kim to Director and Adrien Motte to Principal.
