In 2021, H&F acquired The NPD Group, a leading provider of market research on durable consumer goods (e.g., consumer electronics, apparel, home appliances, toys, books) and foodservice. NPD collects online and brick-and-mortar point of sale data from retailers, using this data to deliver essential insights to many of the world’s leading consumer companies. In 2022, H&F merged NPD with Information Resources, Inc. (“IRI). The combination brings together complementary data assets across a broad range of industries to create a scale global technology, analytics and data provider.
