In 2006, H&F was the largest shareholder among an investor group that acquired PARIS RE, a global multi-line property & casualty reinsurer, from its parent AXA Group. In 2007, PARIS RE completed its initial public offering on the Paris Euronext and in 2009, was acquired by PartnerRe, a publicly-traded global multi-line reinsurer. H&F fully exited its investment in 2014.
