In 2006, H&F acquired Activant Solutions, a leading provider of specialized software, services, and information for distribution businesses and their customers. The Company was comprised of three primary segments: the Hardlines, the Wholesale Distribution segment, and the Autoparts Aftermarket segment. Activant Solutions was sold and combined with Epicor Software Corporation in 2011.
