In 1999, H&F acquired Blackbaud, a leading provider of software and related services designed specifically for nonprofit organizations, selling mission-critical fundraising, accounting and school administration software and services. Blackbaud completed its initial public offering in 2004 and H&F fully exited its investment in 2006.
